Comal County was the 2nd fastest growing county, and Hays County was the 4th fastest growing county IN THE ENTIRE COUNTRY last year. See the census estimates here

And check out this article from the Texas Tribune, “ With a 5.1 percent increase in population, Comal County — on the Interstate 35 corridor between Austin and San Antonio — surpassed Hays and Kendall counties to rank as the nation’s second-fastest-growing county with a population greater than 10,000. Also on the I-35 corridor, Hays County, which grew 5 percent last year, ranked fourth among the fastest-growing counties in the country.”

With more people moving here every day, it is no wonder that home prices and rent rates have also gone up over 5% in the last year. The current trends are nothing new, rather a continuation of a long trend demographic shift. Hays and Comal counties in Central Texas have been named in the top 5 fastest growing counties in the country, every year for the past 5 years running. What a great place to be a real estate investor!
